Dear Parents, Student and Community Members:

Orangeview Junior High School is a standards-based, academically-focused school.  It is our goal to see that every student that promotes from Orangeview Junior High School has the skills and knowledge to demonstrate proficiency in all core academic areas and be successful in high school and, eventually, college or the career path of their choice.  We can achieve this through high expectations, well-designed support, clear communication, and an understanding that success necessitates hard work.  We need to find ways to continue working together to make the two years our kids spend at Orangeview a pathway for their success.

We are very glad that you are partnering with us during this crucial time in the lives of our children.  Many social and academic challenges await our students during junior high and they need for everyone that cares about them to work together.  One of the expectations we hold for ourselves is that of communication with the parents and community.  We may respectfully disagree from time to time, but we will always have the opportunity to discuss any issue with the goal of working together.  Once the students have left our campus they will be changed forever and we want that change to lead to a greatest future possible.  Go Panthers!

Sincerely,

Dr. Kevin Astor
Principal

A word from the Assistant Principals, Ms. Jenny Grant and Mr. Chuck Meyer:

High on our agenda of things to do as assistant principals is assuring the safety of all the students and staff at Orangeview Junior High. We are proud of the fact that Orangeview is a safe school thanks to the efforts of a lot of dedicated folks including our teachers, campus supervisors, administrators, district safe schools personnel, and school resource officer from the Anaheim Police Department, Kyle Bernard (714-765-1977 ext. 1908). We are committed to an ongoing program of ensuring the highest academic standards in a safe and secure campus environment for all of our students. From our academic attire to our secured campus to our low tolerance of bullying to our positive rewards program, it’s all part of what we call "panther pride" at Orangeview Junior High School!
